Hi Margit and thank you for the question.

High-quality almond milk typically has a short, simple ingredient list—ideally just water, almonds, and perhaps a small amount of salt. It is best to choose almond milk that is unsweetened or low in added sugars and free of unnecessary additives like carrageenan or heavy gums. Organic or non-GMO options are often better choices, especially if you want to avoid heavily processed ingredients. If you use almond milk as a dairy substitute, choosing one that is fortified with nutrients like calcium and vitamin D can also be beneficial.

Some of the most respected almond milk brands known for quality include MALK Organic Unsweetened Almond Milk, which uses only filtered water, organic almonds, and a pinch of salt. Elmhurst Unsweetened Milked Almonds is another excellent option and is made simply with water and almonds while still offering a rich, creamy texture. Califia Farms Organic Unsweetened Almond Milk is widely available and uses clean ingredients. Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk is a mainstream option that is easy to find and has a reliable nutrition profile. For a good balance of price and quality, the 365 Organic Almond Milk from Whole Foods is also a solid choice. I hope this helps! –Ina, Food Revolution Network Team

It’s always nice to see your happy face when turning on the Food Revolution network. I’m sure a lot of others must feel the same. Thank you, Ocean. I hope a question works. I would like to know if you are able to say what brand almond milk is quality? Thank you.

Hi Ina. I also like oatmilk and soy milk, especially soy milk in my coffee. The only thing is that soy milk curdles in hot coffee. I have to wait till it cools down quite a bit to add the soy milk without it curdling.

I make keto pancakes using almond meal. Best I’ve ever tasted! And more satiated feeling than wheat pancakes.

My concern is that GMO, non-Organic choices contain Glyphosate< a forever chemical.Glyohosate is linked to cancer. Wheat, Rice, Nuts, Peas, Cotton, and Corn all the top glyphosate offenders. Its hard to find non-GMO sources. Costco has more organic non-dairy source and Sam's Club-not many choices.

I think Soy Milk is a close call to Oatmilk for me , especially because it is good for many uses . I might try making my own cashew milk again .
