Hi Lee,
I’m also 75 and do not think of myself as elderly. This year marks my 50th year of working out. My workouts are more intensive than they’ve ever been, since over the past 50 years there has been better education, research, practice and instructors in the field. Did you drive through Houston on your trip through the South? 👋🏽

Hi Barb and thank you so much for writing.

We really appreciate your candid feedback, and I completely understand your concern. The decision to require sign-up before revealing product details and pricing is set by the affiliate partner’s platform and not something we at Food Revolution Network can control. That said, your comments are valid, and we’ll make sure they’re passed along to the team.

We strive to work only with companies whose offerings align with our values of health, transparency, and trust. We’re genuinely sorry if the sign-up experience felt invasive — that’s never our intention. Please don’t hesitate to take a look at our affiliates’ websites before signing up, to see if it’s of genuine interest to you.

I hope this helps clarify things. Please reach out if you have any further questions or feedback. –Ina, Food Revolution Network Team

I can imagine, Lee! I don’t think any of us wish to refer to ourselves in that manner 🙂 It sounds like you’re living a very young life! –Ina, Food Revolution Network Team

But why have you set up the click-thru to REQUIRE us to sign up to receive promotional messages from unspecified sources BEFORE telling us anything more about the unit and its price? I feel that is just too invasive to even think about purchasing the unit. Sorry, but if this is such a wonderful device, why can’t you just tell us upfront what the price is???

Heck, at 75, I still frown when someone refers to this age as elderly. I just drove over 4K miles in the south — a woman alone in my 50 yr old collector car — with no AC, and a 4 speed manual. I paint, garden and don’t stop much from morning to evening. I keep saying that I were just 50 again … ha, ha. (But then, I’ve exercised and been an athletic person all my life 🤔😊.)

Hello Lawren! There are a couple of limited studies published on the benefits of saunas and dementia risk.

Observational research does suggest that regular sauna bathing may offer protective benefits against dementia, particularly in lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s disease—but it’s not proven as a definitive treatment.

In one Finnish Prospective Cohort Study (KIHD) involving 2,315 middle-aged Finnish men tracked for roughly 20.7 years, it found those who used a traditional Finnish sauna (about 80–100 °C, 5–14 min per session):
66% lower risk of developing any dementia
65% lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease compared to men using a sauna just once a week

A second long-term study in Finland including roughly 14,000 participants found those using saunas 9–12 times/month had about 21% lower dementia risk, with less clear effects at higher frequencies (>13 times/month).

We also published an article regarding the benefits of saunas, with lots of studies cited, which you may wish to read– https://foodrevolution.org/blog/sauna-benefits/

I hope this is helpful! Thank you for the question.
